Requirements :
- Grade 12 certificate with at least 2 years’ experience in general support or grade 10 and 11 with at least 5 years’ experience. Must be able to provide and obtain information. Compile written notes/ memos/ reports. Good verbal and written communication skills. Leadership and diversity skills. Conflict management. Able to work under pressure. Be able to work meet deadlines. Be prepared to work shifts
Duties :
- Supervise Linen Bank personnel and all activities relative to quality laundry management. Ensure soiled linen is collected from the wards, counted, sorted, sluiced, recorded on TPH 65, bagged, and sent to service provider for washing. Ensure clean linen is counted, folded, packed on clean shelves, recorded on TPH 65, and sent to the wards. Conduct daily and or weekly linen spot checks. Ensure utilization of bin cards to control movement of linen. Plan and conduct bi-annual linen stock taking and compile a report thereof. Liase with the service provider in case linen is not collected and delivered. Attend all scheduled meetings with the service provider. Check substandard linen and prepare condemning and disposal of linen. Assist with procurement process for linen replacement. Responsible for utilization of laundry equipment and report losses, damages, and defects. Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards (using of prescribed personal protective equipment /personal protective clothing)
