Position: SCM Clerk: Movable Asset Management

Salary: R237 453 per annum

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification
- No previous experience required
- Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations
- Understanding of the Asset Management Framework
- Knowledge of financial systems such as LOGIS
- Knowledge of LOGIS and BAS systems, especially asset management functions
- Strong analytical and administrative skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Sound financial accounting and budgeting skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to manage and communicate with external stakeholders
- A valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to adapt to work schedules according to office requirements
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support in movable asset management. Duties will include:
- Providing clerical support during the acquisition of movable assets
- Participating in the physical verification of movable assets
- Assisting with the disposal process of movable assets
- Managing stock discrepancies and supporting disposal procedures
- Performing general asset management administration duties
- Ensuring movable assets are provided to users when required
- Liaising with users regarding the updating of movable assets
- Ensuring the asset register is updated and compliant
- Communicating with internal stakeholders regarding movable asset orders
- Supporting proper management of state assets
