DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES
FIRE FIGHTER (2 Posts)
Requirements:
– Grade 12
– IFSAC Accredited NFPA 1001 Firefighter II Certification
– Basic Ambulance Assistant with current registration at HPCSA or Valid First Aid Level 3
– Code C Drivers Licence
– Must be able to communicate in two of the three offical languages of the Western Cape
– Attention to Detail
– Must be mentally and physically fit and healthy
– 2 Year relevant experience
– Candidates will be subjected to a fitness test (Medical & Physical)
Duties:
Performs a variety of tasks associated with responding to and dealing with firefighting, emergency rescue services,
rendering basic medical care, fire prevention and training activities, operating and maintaining firefighting equipment
and apparatus, maintaining fire station facilities and related work as required in order to protect the lives and property
of the community in accordance with the Fire Brigade Services Act (99 of 1987).

Salary : R 186 732.00 – R 242 409.00 per annum of a TASK grading 8
