Qualifications Needed to be a Traffic Officer

To qualify for the learnership, candidates must:

  • Possess a valid Code B Driving License (Manual).
  • Have completed Grade 12 and hold a certificate.
  • Be proficient in English and one other language.
  • Not have any criminal record.
  • Be medically fit for strenuous activities.
  • Be competent to possess a firearm.
  • Be willing to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills.
  • Not be involved in any employee dismissal processes.

Candidates who make the shortlist will undergo medical, driving, fitness, and fingerprint checks. While permanent positions are not guaranteed after completion of the learnership, some institutes may offer them if openings arise.

Application Process and Stipend

To apply for Traffic Cop intake, prepare the following documents:
