Mossel Bay Municipality is offering opportunities to unemployed South African graduates from
Higher Education institutions who have completed a three- (3) year Degree or National Diploma
in Civil Engineering or related field and who are seeking work experience related to the field of
study completed.

REQUIREMENTS
(Relevant proof / documentation and relevant completed application form must accompany application.
No late submissions will be accepted)

  • National Diploma or Degree (minimum NQF Level 6) in Civil Engineering / Chemical
    Engineering / Water Care or related field (must be in possession of complete
    qualification at date of application)
  • Must be in possession of a valid Code B driver’s license (manual vehicle)
  • Fluent in at least two (2) of the official languages of the Western Cape
  • Computer literate (MS Office applications)
  • Applicants must have met the academic requirements for the advertised field of
    study/discipline and should not previously have been employed as an Intern in the Public
    Sector
  • Must be willing to work overtime

DURATION:

Contractual appointment: Twelve (12) months with the option to extend the period for a further twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) months, up to a maximum of three (3) years in total.

STIPEND: R8 327.10 per month

  • Prepare and serve beverages
  • Report on stock levels
  • Making posters and relevant materials
  • Assist public with photocopies and printing and information for tasks
  • Assists with inter-library loans and book reservations
  • Recovering of overdue items
  • Shelving and maintaining library material
  • Filling application forms and cards
  • Provide support to users with internet information queries
  • Informal reporting to the supervisor on performance of tasks and machinery / tools that need attention
  • Assist patrons with ICT computers
  • Informal meetings

SALARY SCALE:

All-inclusive total package of ±R194 981.93 – R237 337.62 per annum. Benefits eg medical aid scheme, pension fund, group life scheme, 13th cheque included.

BASIC SALARY: R124 462.44 – R156 993.96 per annum (T4)
