The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) distributes more than 18 million permanent social grants every month. Recipients of the Sassa grants normally receive their money in the first week of each month.
The following are the payment dates for those who receive other grants, such as the Child Support Grant, Foster Child Grant, Care Dependency Grant, War Veterans Grant, in May 2023
- Child Support Grant: 8 May 2023
In May 2023, the Child Support Grant is scheduled to be paid on May 8, 2023. To avoid delays in the payment process, beneficiaries are advised to keep their bank details up to date. Since grant money is always there, there is no need to rush to get it on the appointed day.
