Requirements :
- Grade 10 or equivalent with 0 to 2 years’ experience. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure. Must be prepared to work shifts and night duty. Must have good knowledge of food preparation (normal and therapeutic diets). Current and previous interns are encouraged to apply. Candidates will be subjected to a series of Employment Vetting processes.
Duties :
- Preparation of food. Responsible for storage of stock. Cooking and serving food for patients. Cleaning of the kitchen. Ensuring safety and hygiene of food service area by constantly monitoring the flow of work. Responsible for safekeeping and reporting all faulty equipment. Accept additional function within the unit as given by Food Service Manager. Assist with hospital events where necessary. The incumbent will work shifts and night duty.
