Requirements :

Senior Certificate /Grade 12, Recognized National Diploma/Degree in Theology from an accredited Theological Institution or equivalent qualification. Ordination as a Minister of religion/faith. At least three – five (3-5) years relevant experience. knowledge of Chaplain Ministries, Spiritual Counselling, Religious principles, and practices. Meeting procedures. Report writing. Diversity, Computer literacy (proof required), Valid driver’s licence.

Duties :

Coordinate spiritual care services. Render spiritual services to Gauteng Department of Health forensic medical services (FMS) employees and bereaved families. Implement, monitor, and evaluate policies and procedures. Develop and present needs based spiritual care programmes. Market spiritual care services and establish partnership with internal and external stakeholders (FBO). Facilitate support for religious and spiritual guidance to all clients of GDOH forensic medical services.

Organize and lead worship services in creative and ecumenical ways, including memorial services, bereavement services, in collaboration with relevant committees. Available to serve the families of deceased staff members as during and after working hours. Support the implementation of employee assistance programme (EAP) within forensic medical services. Provide and facilitate supportive services to personnel. Manage spiritual care infrastructure. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to enhance social reintegration services.
