Apply for Permanent Handyman position at Johannesburg Water
PURPOSE
To provide upkeep and maintenance service in and around the Training & Development Centre at Ffennell Depot.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform basic DIY Electrical work, perform basic Plumbing work, paint surfaces, clean gutters, replace tiles, replace and replace window mechanisms, daily sweeping of grounds around the Training Centre, managing the garden by removing weeds, cutting of grass, making of beds, pruning trees, trimming edges, watering the garden, pick papers and other debris around Training Center, treat soil with fertilizer twice a year, keep and update inventory register of the tools of trade at all times, maintain appropriate housekeeping in storerooms and filling rooms.
Inspect and report on an ad-hoc basis the completion of maintenance and repair work done by contractors to the supervisor. Ensure that health and safety measures are observed, ensure that all safety incidents, accidents and near misses are reported immediately to the OHS Representatives and direct supervisor in the stipulated time frames.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12
- At least one-year experience in facilities maintenance & repairs (Handyman).
