Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have the following:

  • Grade 12 certificate, National Senior Certificate, or NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Computer literacy.

A minimum of one year of experience in a Supply Chain Management environment will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the acquisition of goods and services according to Supply Chain Management policies and procedures.

Key duties include:

  • Acquiring goods and services in line with SCM policies.
  • Maintaining records of all transactions related to goods and services.
  • Preparing documents for the quotation adjudication committee.
  • Capturing requisitions for the creation of purchase orders.
  • Ensuring all documents comply with CSD reports before capturing.
  • Following up on deliveries and keeping accurate records in 0-9 files.
  • Ensuring suppliers are paid within 30 days.
  • Managing warehouse duties, including receiving and distributing stock.
  • Recording all transactions on VA10 and VA11.
  • Barcoding new assets and delivering them to end users.
  • Recording assets received on the hospital Asset Register.
  • Reconciling assets monthly between BAS/SAP and the Asset Register.
  • Conducting asset verification and updating sub-asset registers.
  • Preparing documents for assets identified for disposal.
  • Arranging lots for the Disposal Committee.
