Mechanical Engineering Internships 2024 at Afrimat
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- BTech Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar/relevant);
- Based in Tygervalley, Bellville, Cape Town
- Willing to travel to our Afrimat sites
- Have own vehicle and driver’s license
- Willing and fast learner, with a self-driven attitude
- The candidate must be medically fit in terms the Mine Health and Safety Act.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineer in training will form part of the Afrimat Engineering division and will have the following responsibilities under a Mechanical engineer’s supervision:
- Complete Afrimat engineering intern program
- Assist with multiple maintenance improvement projects across Afrimat.
- Attend site meetings to understand operational conditions
- Assist with improving maintenance and availability of mining equipment

- Outstanding records of academic achievement
