RCL FOODS is looking for an intern who is passionate about Risk and Safety. This role is based at Pretoria West Bakery. The suitable candidate would need to ensure a high standard is maintained at site level and support managers to drive safety and reduce risk in the workplace.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Studying towards a University Diploma in Safety/Environmental Management
- SAMTRAC (Advantageous).
- 0 years- working experience.
- Computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Power Point).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducting SHER Related Inspections
- Compiling SHE Committee Minutes
- Reporting on the Sustainability performance
- Conducting SHER toolbox talks
- Administration of SHER Systems records.
- Driving SHER Culture Surveys
- Induction for employee’s & contractors when needed.
- Assist in contractor management Onsite (SHE Files, Inductions, can compliances to PTW)
- Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments and other SHER issues.
- Incidents Investigations and produce reports.
- Tracking of corrective actions and preventive actions.
- Update Notice Boards – SHER.
- Assist with SHEQ-X implementation.
- Actively uploading SHER events on Let’s Talk
- Assist in Permanent Supplier’s Audits

- Assisting with documentation, records, and files during both internal and external audits.
- Participating in Departmental internal audits.
- Compile audit action plans.
- Raising Systems NCR’S from internal & external audits on SHEQ-X.
