NSFAS Applications For Trimester 2
NSFAS provides funding for tuition fees, accommodation, and study materials, among other things.
The bursary is available for South African citizens and permanent residents who are enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate studies at public universities and TVET colleges.
The NSFAS has stated that the application methods for all remaining cycles of 2023 will remain the same as those used by students to apply for the first cycle of 2023. It means that you must submit an application.
Here is how to apply for NSFAS funding for Trimester 2
- Visit the NSFAS website ”www.nsfas.org.za”.
- Top right click on the ‘myNSFAS’ tab.
- Create a myNSFAS account or login if you have an account already.
- Click on ‘APPLY’ then follow instructions.
- Upload all required documents.
- Then click on ‘Submit’
You can track the status of your application on the NSFAS website by logging into your myNSFAS account.
If you are enrolled at one of the TVET Colleges in South Africa and you prefer bursary official at college to apply on your behalf, provide them with the following documents:
- SA Birth certificate/ID document or Temporary ID of the student.
- South African birth certificate/ID document or Temporary ID copies of parent(s)/guardian/spouse.
- Student/parent(s)/guardian or spouse’s proof of income.
- If you are SASSA beneficiary, proof of income will not be required.
It is important to note that application deadlines for Semester 2 funding vary depending on the institution with which you are enrolled. Check with your institution for exact deadlines.
