Requirements:

A three (3) years relevant tertiary qualification in Employee Relations / Human Resource Management or Development with 0 – 2 years’ experience or Grade 12 with 2 to 5 years demonstrable experience in Labour Relations. Must have a valid driver’s license. Competencies: Ability to work under pressure. Sound Knowledge and interpretation of all relevant labour prescripts: LRA, BCEA, EEA, OHSA & COIDA, SDA, Public Service Code of Conduct and PSA. Knowledge of the Disciplinary Code and Procedures, Grievance Management, Collective Bargaining, Dispute resolution and other relevant legislations applicable within the Public Sector. Verbal and written communication skills. Report writing skills. Be able to work independently. Conflict management. Computer literacy.

Duties:

Management and coordination of grievance and disciplinary hearings. Facilitate and manage abscondment cases in accordance with relevant labour legislation. Identify training gaps, coordinate, and facilitate labour relations workshops for staff. Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Develop annual multilateral meetings schedule. Coordinate and secure venues for the Multilateral meetings, bi-lateral meetings, and grievances as well as disciplinary hearings. Minutes taking.
