Area of Speacialization: To ensure the continuity of supply to customers by building, maintaining and repairing infrastructure and plant according to dead and limited live work practices, guidelines and service agreements on the electrical network up to and including 33kV
Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):
- Grade 12 with Maths and Science / NCV4/ NSC3/N3 Engineering at NQF4 with 120 credits
Related Minimum Experience:
- 2 Years work Distribution network operating and maintenance

- Perform breakdown maintenance

Candidates must have knowledge of:
- Eskom standards, procedures, directives and guidelines
- Power plant specific transformers, auxiliary, switchgear theoretical knowledge at the required level
- Quality management international organization for standardization (ISO)9001 and 14001
- Emergency response and safety
- Basic health, safety, environment
- Tools and specialized equipment
- Low and high voltage systems up to 33kV
- High voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) line construction
- Operating Regulations for High voltage Systems (ORHVS)
- Meter worker certification
- Single phase tester
- Crane operating
- Mobile elevating platform operating
- Auger drill operating
- Rock drill operating
