MINING LEARNERSHIPS AT ANGLO AMERICAN | APPLY WITH GRADE 12
Job Purpose:
- An opportunity for individuals residing in the JTG District to join the Sishen Mine team in an eighteen-month Mining Learnership enrichment program.
- The program focuses on Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) and includes classroom and on-the-job training in surface mining.
- It aims to develop skills and provide a tailored plan for a future career as a Drilling or Blasting Assistant and/or various Trackless Mobile Equipment roles.
- Applicants must be physically fit to participate in the program.
About Kumba Iron Ore:
- Kumba Iron Ore is part of Anglo American, a global diversified mining business.
- They produce high-grade iron ore used in construction and manufacturing worldwide.
- Operations include exploration, mining, processing, blending, shipping, marketing, and selling.
- In South Africa, they have mining operations in the Northern Cape province.
Requirements:
- Full Grade 12 or Technical N3 with Mathematics Literacy or Mathematics (Physical Science is advantageous).
- A valid South African Driver’s License.
- Successful completion of medical-job-fit assessments (RFA).
- Ability to obtain or already possess a valid Sishen VTS (Vehicle Tracking System) or DOVER certification.
- The mining learnership will commence after successfully obtaining VTS (Dover) / RFA and obtaining a Fitness Certificate.
Additional Information:
- Offers a monthly stipend/allowance for the duration of the program.
- An 18-24 month skills program that includes experiential learning.
- MQA Certificate awarded after competency declaration.
- Personal Protective Equipment provided.
