Job Purpose: Transnet Corporate Centre and Academy are seeking dynamic and newly qualified graduates for a structured two-year program. This 24-month program aims to nurture talent for essential roles within various departments at Transnet Port Terminals (TPT). These include:
- People Management – Payroll
- ICT – (Digital Solutions Centre, web Methods, Digital Solutions Centre, Enterprise Architecture, Digital Solutions Centre
- Legal Risk & Compliance (Safety and Environment, ERM)
- Corporate Services (Business Planning & Performance Monitoring)
- Corporate Affairs
- Corporate Services – Strategy
- Finance: Financial Accounting
- Finance: Fixed Assets
- Supply Chain Management
The Young Professional in Training program provides structured training and placements tailored to the academic background, career goals, and business needs of the participants. Preference will be given to applicants within the eThekwini Municipality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Young Professionals will be exposed to various business areas, following a structured training program, undergoing performance reviews and assessments every six months, submitting monthly reports, and fulfilling the duties outlined in their development programs, as required by Transnet Port Terminals.
Qualifications:
Qualifications vary based on the specific area of the program, but candidates should possess relevant degrees or qualifications in fields such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Risk Management, Safety Management, Environmental Management, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, and more.
