Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme (ISFAP) is inviting South African students to apply for Bursary Program for the 2024 academic year. Closing date for applications is the 5th of January 2024.

Discretionary Funding
The funding provided by ISFAP is made available through the contributions of various donors in the public and private sector.
Successful applicants will receive a funding package that includes tuition, accommodation and monthly allowances as well as student support.
Criteria for eligibility includes:
- Academic achievement and acceptance into the ISFAP partner university of your choice for the relevant postgraduate degree programme
- Availability of funding (universities, qualifications, demographics etc.) will be determined by our funding partners’ requirements
- First postgraduate degrees starting in 2024
- Funding availability
- Applicants must be a South African citizen.
- The applicable Funder will assess and choose applicants using their own criteria not limited to above.
Applications
An online application form needs to be completed in full and the requisite supporting documentation provided/uploaded by qualifying students. Applications without the supporting documents uploaded will not be considered.
The applications will be added to a database which will be used to pair qualifying students that match donor/ISFAP criteria. ISFAP will keep applicants informed of the status of their application.

Mandatory Documents needed to complete the Application
- (NB: Select documents below need to have been certified within the last three months)
- Certified ID Copy of the Applicant.
- Certified ID Copies of Parents / Guardians / Household Contributors
- Certified Copy of Latest Academic Results (for example, undergraduate transcript)
- Certified Proof of Income for each household contributor – Latest Payslip, Grant Recipient proof, etc.
- Certified and Signed Consent Form by (Applicant and Household Contributors) (certified by Commissioner of Oaths)
