Requirements :

Grade 12 or equivalent certificate with 1-year experience in the Public Service Administration environment. Experience in Student Affairs will be an added advantage. Sound Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal relations skills. Problem-solving skills and teamwork. Computer literacy certificate (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook). Professional telephone etiquette. A valid driver’s license will be added as an advantage.

Duties :

Control student absenteeism both theory and clinical. Assist students with leave matters and submit Leave forms to HR. File leaves forms and other documents in the student’s files. Draw student’s files for management on requested. Rearrange and label students files every year. Facilitate student’s course registration/orientation and award ceremonies.

Maintain and update student’s records and lecturer periods. Co-ordinate and record clinical hours and theoretical periods of students from all clinical facilities. Assist with completion of clinical hours and correlation with course requirements for submission to SANC (South African Nursing College). Arrange the venues according to assessment schedules. Be able to apply legislation and policies that govern Student Affairs such as SANC, CHE, UMALUSI, POPIA ACT and BATHO PELE PRINCIPLES. Carry out lawful duties allocated by the supervisor.

The CV should be recently updated and specify the following: All experiences/employment history should be in a chronological order indicating the position, institution, and respective dates, indicating the starting and ending period (DD/MM/YYYY) on the CV. The information on the new Z83 must be the same with that of the CV. Candidates are required to give name of supervisor as reference and not colleagues. Shortlisted candidates will receive communication from Human Resource to submit certified copies of qualifications and other relevant documents not older than six months, on or before the day of the interview. The specific reference post number should be correctly quoted on the Z83 form.
