SACAA Fixed Wing Cadet Pilot Bursaries for 2026
Are you passionate about aviation and dreaming of becoming a pilot? The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is offering a Future Aviators Bursary Programme to assist deserving and motivated young South Africans to pursue a career as Fixed Wing Cadet Pilots.
This bursary covers all tuition, flight training, and examination costs, along with mentorship by experienced aviation professionals.
What the Bursary Covers
- Full tuition fees
- Flight training
- Examination fees
- Mentorship and guidance from qualified pilots and industry professionals
Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens aged 18 – 35 years
- Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric with:
- Level 5 or higher in Mathematics (Pure)
- Level 5 or higher in Physical Science
- Be able to demonstrate financial need (proof required)
- Show a strong passion for aviation and commitment to excellence
- Be disciplined with a solid work ethic
Required Documents (MANDATORY)
Applicants must upload the following documents with their application:
- Certified ID Copy
- Matric Certificate or latest Grade 12 results
- Proof of financial need (e.g. household income)
- Motivation Letter explaining why you want to become a pilot
