Bidvest Insurance Learnership Programme

  • Purpose: Protecting South Africans against financial losses and unforeseen events.
  • Operations: Offers niche value-added products through:
    • Direct Channel – Call centres.
    • Affinity Channel – Distribution network partnerships.
  • Values: Guided by the “BE’VOLUTION,” focusing on people, partnerships, and positive impact.

The Learnership Programme focuses on Value Added Product Claims, where participants will learn to assess and process claims accurately while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Handle telephonic and email queries professionally.
    • Ensure customer experience excellence and embed Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
  • Claims Processing
    • Capture and validate claim details.
    • Verify policy status and payments.
    • Attach required supporting documents to the system.
    • Process payments and refunds as needed.
  • Query Management
    • Resolve queries from policyholders, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • System Updates
    • Record all interactions on the claims system.
    • Update client policy information.
  • Correspondence
    • Communicate claim outcomes and future requirements to clients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12) – required.
  • Computer literacy – essential.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong customer service and administrative experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
