Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Above-average computer literacy
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Knowledge of document management and filing systems

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Conducting daily court recordings
  • Preparing and setting up recording equipment and ensuring microphones function correctly
  • Reporting equipment malfunctions promptly
  • Recording court proceedings accurately
  • Managing requests for transcription and recording time spent in court per case
  • Ensuring proper digital recording and safeguarding the integrity of court records
  • Capturing cases daily on ECMS/ICMS systems
  • Ensuring correct equipment is available for children and persons with disabilities
  • Preparing court records for appeal and review processes
  • Assisting with general case flow management
  • Performing additional administrative duties as assigned by the Court Manager
